Radio deity Randy Michaels falls from throne.

by johnford on July 24, 2002

Late Monday it was announced by all the radio and music biz trades that radio bad boy/man at the top Randy Michaels was exiting his top post as CEO at Clear Channel Radio. According to the reports in radio and records and allaccess.com Michaels was moving over to head up Clear Channel’s New Technologies Division. Rush slings some mud at Jobs

by johnford on July 21, 2002

This is pretty amusing. The latest column on radio broadcaster Rush Limbaugh site has the prognosticator of right wing political might, Rush Limbaugh, taking shots at Apple Computer’s Steve Jobs. Rush has always been an outspoken advocate of Apple and is using his bully pulpit on the web this week to chide Apple for not advertising on his show. Beyond all the political double-talk, Limbaugh has a good argument. There is nothing more powerful than a radio celeb reading live spots for a product they believe in. If Jobs was smart he would be dumping tons of dough on the Limbaugh show. Because after all, the bottom line is continued profitability for Apple. Anyone remember what happened to Snapple when they pulled their spots from Howard and Rush? You should. Steve, you listening?
