From the “At least they were French” department.

According to a report in the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, a Miami Beach police officer was busy looking for a mugger on South Beach and driving his SUV and didn’t notice the bumps. In fact the “bumps” turned out to be two French women sun-bathing on the beach. According to a spokesman for the police department, “Unfortunately, for whatever reason, he didn’t see them, and he ran them over.” Unfortunately for one of the women she’s dead. Read it here.
