The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) held its hearings on public support (or lack of it) for media ownership limits yesterday in Richmond. The commission in under a lot of pressure to “reform” cross ownership limits between radio and newspapers as well as regulations that now limit local radio concentration and cross-ownership of television and radio stations in the same market. The public comments came from many Washington lobbyists and one radio station employee who wore a cardboard television set frame around his head. Read more here.
