“I don’t care if you ever call me again, I’m finished with all of it.”

That’s what mom said to me on Friday night. She called about 10:30 PM and asked three times where I was when she called earlier. I told her “out.” Of course she wasn’t happy with that response. After prodding some more, she said “If you can’t tell your mother, who can you tell!” Oh Jeeze. At that point she asked to talk to my daughter. She wanted to know if my daughter (Cait) wanted to go with her somewhere on Saturday. The kid told her that she had plans. About thirty seconds after Cait hung up, the call back came with “I don’t care if you ever call me again, I’m finished with all of it.” And then Mom hung up. Having been through these phone calls many times before, I shrugged it off.

I had planned to take mom and my daughter out today (Sunday) for lunch and a movie. So I call mom and she acts like nothing happened. Then she finally says, “are you mad at me?” I said, “no, I think your silly but I’m not mad at you.” We’ll see how the day pans out. We’re off to Boca Raton (the land of bratty kids raised by parents who let them have anything they want and enforce nothing) to the mall and eat at “Stir Crazy” and then a movie. Oh boy!

Here’s some shots of the fine folks at the Boca Mall. Mostly old Jewish guy’s waiting for…
