The day after the weekend after the blackout.

I have to admit, that it was kind of fun watching the east coast sweat to death following the “blackout of 2003.” I was glad as hell that we didn’t get it down here. The heat would have just been to brutal. Last weekend in Key West I couldn’t help notice that so many of the business don’t have AC. You go into a bar or restaurant and no AC. I guess that the folks that live down there “get used to it” but why the hell do the tourists put up with it? They undoubtedly sucker themselves into believing that they are part of the “atmosphere” and local jibe by acting like it doesn’t bother them. Hell, just up the coast here in Fort Lauderdale, nobody would survive in a business if they didn’t have AC. Nice scam if you can pull it off.
