Recorded it at home today with the sound of the construction crew from two different condo’s being built in the background. It’s probably fitting. And it’s probably a good idea that something reflect the continuing transformation of Fort Lauderdale Beach into Queens.

Time carves the street
stars shine under your feet

Fog creeps through the hills
bell rings on a broken down till
new hearts plow a valley of pain

The dawn looks the same
the next scene in a tired old play

just the snap of these neon lights
one more star that burned too bright
