I saw you last night
I’m sure it was you
After some more surgery
With another beau
At an Italian restaurant
On center street
You smiled politely
yet eyes never meet
You snuck out the back
Just behind the stairs
For another lie of blow
Then you gave me a stare
And when you came back
With an entrance so grand
You glanced at my daughter
What you might have had
You talked up the maid
And talked down the help
Sighed at your lover
And the hand you had dealt
I saw you last night
When you were all alone
That sad smile over your shoulder
And then I was gone
