I loved the old theme of johnford.net, however it was a very slow load. Tried as I did to optimize the damn thing, I believe it was an exercise in futility. So… a new theme. It’s clean and runs much faster. Hope you approve.

If you’ve been visiting johnford.net for a while, you may remember I used to run RadioSurfer, the all in one, quick loading radio news portal. I let the site go a couple of years ago, despite much protest. I just didn’t have the time to hard-code the site every day. Well, times have changed and I’ve built a new back-end that enables me to offer the radiosurfer service once again. Unfortunately, I no longer have the domain, but the good news is, I have an even better one. RadioNX.com.

The new RadioNX.com will be updated multiple times a day with links to the radio biz news spread across the net and links to the full articles. I’ve also incorporated a daily news subscription feed and set up a bulletin board. Best of all, it’s lean and mean and loads super-fast with a minimum of unnecessary flash, glitz or bloat. Just the news with minimum junk, fast. Check it out, I’m sure you will like it.

Sorry about the lack of updates on the site in the last couple of weeks. I’ve had some server trouble and just haven’t had the time to hash it out. Expect updates and some new content very soon. Until then, here’s a picture of a mailbox shaped like a fishing lure.

Just wasn’t happy with the former theme. This new one is simpler and easier to read and navigate. Still a few minor tweaks to get it completely functioning and the features right. Thanks for your patience.

OK, I’ve decided to move away from movable type for the last time. It’ just too much of a pain in the butt to convert everything over from mt 3.- to the new template design of mt 4.-. It’s actually easier to move to wordpress, which I have used before, than it is to upgrade movabletype. Just another thing that’s ‘wrong’ with this world. ha. Anyway, not completely done with the move yet, but we will get there. thanx. jf
